Writers Wanted
Do you have a vast amount of movie knowledge that has nowhere to go? Are you a bit snarky and don’t take yourself too seriously? If the answer is yes, we’d like to talk to you.
The positions we are looking for are:
- Film News Writer (4 positions available) – Bloggers who can write 3 or 4 edgy news posts at least every other day.
- Film Reviewers (2 positions available) – Bloggers who visit the multiplex regularly and can write up interesting reviews of new releases.
- T.V. News & Reviews/Recaps (1 position available) – Are you a TV person rather than movies? We have a place for you too! Bloggers who can write up reviews of shows along with TV news.
- Celebrity News (1 position available) – Do you love celebs? Do you love writing about celebs? Fulfill your needs here.
- Satire Writer – (1 position available) – Are you lost in a sea of irony?
- DVD News & Reviews (1 position available) – Bloggers who watch DVDs (VHS too, if they are wacky) or Blu-rays and can write up reviews and news.
- Video Game News (1 position available) Do you know too much about video games? Do you take periodic breaks between your gaming adventures and wonder what to do with yourself? How about writing about them? We are looking for somebody that can write up at least 10 stories (news and/or reviews) a week.
All positions require SEO responsibilities as well. Details post application.
It would also be advantageous if you have previous experience writing for a website or blog but we will consider every application sent.
Live in L.A. or New York City? Move to the front of the line, please. Experience with Wordpress? You might be a winner!
Payment issues and contract issues will be discussed post application. Perks may include some cash, the occasional DVD, the “once-and-a-while movie pass,” and virtual hugs.
