New ‘Predator’ reboot to kick-off late September: Rodriguez’s ‘Predators’ to showcase “horrors”

Production on Robert Rodriguez’s Predators will begin late next month at his Texas-based Troublemaker Studios.
A reboot of the popular Predator series, Predators centers around a group of interplanetary travelers who become stranded on a planet overrun by…well… Predators. The group discovers “unspeakable horrors” like “Jesus juice,” that one American Idol’s sex tape and a mummified Bubbles the monkey.
Last month it was announced that Nimrod Antal (Vacancy) will take the directors chair on Predators. Rodriguez is currently shooting the big-screen version of his faux Grindhouse trailer, Machete, and will serve as producer.
