Sigh. Remember three weeks ago when it seemed as if a third Ghostbusters movie was actually going to happen, based on the rumor that Bill Murray was returning under the condition that Peter Venkman would be a ghost throughout the picture? Well, it seems that might have been wishful thinking after all, and his quote may have been a bit sarcastic.

While this clip from David Letterman doesn’t indicate that Ivan Reitman’s third flick in the series won’t eventually happen (the writers just turned in a script for it), Murray seems down on the whole thing, calling it his “nightmare.” Watch the clip below and decide for yourself if we should give up hope now.
