Jack Bauer to be Pissed Off in Europe, Film

From ‘Breach’ and ‘Shattered Glass’ Writer

Rumors have been flying for years that, eventually, Kiefer Sutherland would run out of time on the big screen in a 24 feature film.  Those rumors gained some traction today, as Fox announced that screenwriter Billy Ray has been charged with putting together a big-screen screenplay that would take Bauer to Europe.  Billy Ray might not be a well-known name, but he is responsible for the generally awesome Shattered Glass and Breach.

As a lapsed 24 fan, I think I’m up for this.  The show doesn’t really have anywhere to go that it hasn’t gone (multiple times) already, but with a big budget and an excuse out of the day-long real time plot line, I think we could get some pretty decent thrills out of it all.  Plus, Sutherland would be able to scream a curse word that isn’t “DAMMIT!”

I've been reading "Kiefer Sutherland: Living Dangerously" (check it out at: http://www.amazon.com/Kiefer-Sutherland-Dangerous... and Kiefer seems like quite the bad boy. He's already been to prison for DUI. What if he gets into trouble while filming in Europe? He might never make it back to America!

At least he didn’t get arrested in Arizona. They have some of the most severe penalties in the US. Read about the penalties enforced under Arizona DUI law, not too pretty.
