Fan Reaction: Mixed Views on Daredevil Reboot

Fans sound off on new Daredevil remake

Fox recently hired  The Day the Earth Stood Still writer David Scarpa to begin work on the reboot of the blind Marvel superhero Daredevil. Here are some fan reactions from around the Internet.

“For a quintessential “Daredevil” movie, a Robert Rodriguez / Frank Miller collaboration would be the ideal choice.

They need to put some authenticity back into some of these comic book adaptations by using the very people who know the characters well.”

-Magnetic Eye (Screen Rant)

“A disability is a special ability moron. I’m hearing impaired, and when I want to, I can shut the world up! Mainly annoying people or crying babies lol. Can YOU do that? Ass nugget.”

John Frausto (Coming Soon)

“Given that they’ve already run the franchise’s name through the mud and a mediocre Daredevil movie is unlikely to be a financial success (since viewers will be expecting a bad movie), how does it benefit them to lose money on the project, just so they can retain the rights? All that gives them is the ability to lose even MORE money in the future.+

David (Comics Alliance)

“Screenwriter David Scarpa? From “the Day the Earth Stood Still?” It sounds like they’re trying to reboot Daredevil from mediocre to unbearably terrible.”

Tralu (MTV)

“i hate when people say “nolan for batman, favreu for iron man” because i remember when they were announced as directors and nobody was excited, and they were both unknowns,so give this Scarpa guy a chance and whoever director comes on board”

Kure (Collider)

“Poor Affleck. This movie should be blamed entirely on Mark Steven Johnson, cause this guy is an awful director. He followed this up with “Elektra” and then “Ghost Rider.” So basically, he ruined more than one possible franchise. Ghost Rider could have been awesome.”

Colin J. Louro (Cinema Blend)
