Patrick Stewart Too Old For ‘X-Men: First Class’
Star Trek’s Patrick Stewart talks X-Men at Fan Convention
Geek icon Patrick Stewart may not be included in Bryan singers return to mutant lore in X-Men: First Class.
Stewart, 69, recently spoke at a Star Trek convention in Australia. The English actor, who plays Professor Xavier in X-Men, X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand, said he “doubts” he will be participate in the planned prequel.
Singer has stated that First Class will center on a young Professor X and his arch-nemesis/friend Magneto, who was previously played by Ian McKellan.
Stewart said that working with McKellan was “one of the best and most fun experiences” he ever had.
X-Men: First Class is written by Jamie Moss (Street Kings) and Josh Schwartz (Looking for Alaska).
