Guy Pearce Set to Star in Tim Guinee’s Psychological Thriller ‘The Well’
Philip Seymour Hoffman’s production company lands ‘The Well’
Philip Seymour Hoffman (Doubt, Pirate Radio) and Emily Ziff’s production firm, Cooper’s Town Productions, will be developing the psychological thriller, The Well, starring Guy Pearce and Mary-Louise Parker.
Tim Guinee has wrote the script and will direct the film. This will mark Guinee’s first feature debut.
Guinee has had acting roles in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, Synecdoche, New York, along with Iron Man and Iron Man 2.
The Well centers around a well off Manhattan couple whose obsessive pursuit of salvation eventually leads them to destruction.
Hoffman was instrumental in the production when he received the script from Guinee, which prompted the actor bring the project to Cooper’s Town.
“For us, the relationship with the artist is key; we strive to be a company with whom filmmakers feel inspired and supported while working,” Ziff stated.
Cooper’s Town is trying to raise financing for the film. No word if Hoffman will star.
