Kristen Stewart on Bella: “She’s got to know herself much better”
Kristen Stewart talks about her Twilight role and its evolution
Twilight gal Kristen Stewart says that she is “protective” of her role in the Twilight series and that the 19-year-old has “become” her.
Stewart, who will be playing a stripper in her upcoming Welcome to the Rileys, revealed in an interview that the actress has evolved with her character. “I feel like Bella has become something that is me, in a weird way. I feel very protective of her,” says Stewart. “Bella and I have been on a similar ride, in that during the second film she matures a bit. She’s making these drastic life decisions and she knows what she wants.”
She adds: “She’s got to know herself much better. I think I’ve done the same thing through this project. It’s been a wild ride and there’s been a lot of self-evaluation. I’ve grown a lot, and so has Bella.”
Kristen Stewart will also be playing Joan Jett in the rock biopic, The Runaways, starring alongside her New Moon co-star Dakota Fanning.
