‘Superman Returns’ Producer Will Unleash ‘Night & Fog’
Sure, it’s a slow news week. But there’s always room for updates on supernatural World War II creature features, right?
Gil Adler, a producer of Superman Returns, Constantine and the upcoming Dead of Night, has joined forces with co-producer Shane McCarthy to bring the science fiction/horror comic Night & Fog to the big screen.
According to Adler, it isn’t the genre but the characters that attracted him to the property (I’ve never read it, so maybe he’s on the right track). However, the premise sounds pretty cool:
“Set during WWII, story revolves around an infectious mist unleashed on a military base that transforms its victims into preternatural creatures of the night. But when the survivors try to kill them, they adapt and change into something even more horrific and unstoppable.”
Generic but delightfully morbid! Somebody grab an issue on the iPhone and let me know how it is! No casting decisions have been made, nor has a script been written.
