Chris Brown’s problem isn’t anger, it’s loving too much
Chris Brown isn’t an abuser. Nor is Ike Turner
If you ask Chris Brown if he has a problem with anger, the 20-year-old singer may scoff and tell you no, despite giving his one-time girlfriend Rihanna a busted up face.
Brown was arrested in February after he assaulted the 21-year-old pop star following a pre-Grammy Awards party in L.A. For Brown, he doesn’t have “problems with anger” and still acts surprised by the whole ordeal.
“I never ever had problems with anger,” says Brown. “No domestic violence with any of my past girlfriends or any altercations…”
Until the beating, Brown was widely seen as a class act and a singer to be emulated as a role model.
He continued: “I never was that kind of person… I look at it, and it’s really, really difficult. “It’s like, ”How could I be that person?” “I was wrong for what I did.”
“I was wrong for what I did.”
Brown added: “And I would definitely say that it’s not something that I look past or look over. “Something that’s really, really touchy.
The singer recently told ABC’s 20/20 that one of its tracks had an emotional impact on Rihanna. When he first played Changed Man for Rihanna, she broke down into tears. According to a previous interview with the New York Daily News, however, Rihanna said she never heard the song.
Meanwhile, Rihanna just released her album Rated R. A project she struggled to make.
“It’s the closest album to me, to my heart. I opened up a lot on it and got a little vulnerable and let my emotions out on it,” says Rihanna . “Everything’s documented on the album.”
She added: “I’m able to listen back to it now but in the beginning it was really weird. I couldn’t listen to demos or anything. It was too deep for me. I kept leaving the studio when people wanted to listen to the songs.”
