The director of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ talks about the vibe of the story
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows director David Yates says that the last chapter in the highly popular Harry Potter series will act as a “road movie” based much more in reality than the previous entries.
“It’s going to feel very real. We’re going for a vérité approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they’re like these three refugees on the run,” says Yates. “They’re out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don’t have a home to go to. We’re kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it.”
The seventh, and last, book in series from JK Rowling about the boy wizard is being broken into two films. The first part is coming out next November and the second part in 2011 with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson returning.
