Miley Cyrus calls Twilight a cult
17-year-old Miley Cyrus is still trashing Twilight and this time she did it on Sirius XM’s The Morning Mash Up, which aired on Tuesday. She called the popular vampire series “a cult.”
We don’t disagree. A lot of fans take this way too seriously.
“I think it’s like [a] cult … I think it’s a cult,” she stated. “I think it’s bad. I think it’s like, just people get too into it,” says the former Hannah Montana star. “For me, I think it’s like when guys look at supermodels and they’re like, ‘That’s the perfect girl,’ … That’s what those kind of movies do to us. They’re like thinking that’s what girls should be like and not everyone is going to be Edward, hate to say it.”
Funny. It’s usually dames saying this about modelesque women, not men. Three huzzahs to the objectification of men.
The second film in the series, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, opened to mammoth numbers at this box office last Friday.
Cyrus also took a swipe at series star Robert Pattinson, stating that Johnny Depp is “way hotter” and that she will be rooting for Zac Efron for People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” cover.
“There’s not many things about me that are like a normal teenage girl,” Cyrus said on Efron. “But the one like normal teenage girl thing is that I think Zac Efron is the hottest person in the world. I really, really like him. And it’s weird … it’s weird because he’s my friend. I think also the reason that he is so sexy is because he and Vanessa [Hudgens] have been together since the first High School Musical and … I think that’s really cool.”

I'm pretty sure that Twilight fans give their seal of approval and thank "Edward" everyday that you, Mily are not a fan of the series! I know I am! I love the twilight series, but I still see what she is saying and agree with it.
