The many mistakes in ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’

He has a semi.
It isn’t enough that Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is closing in on becoming the biggest movie of the year (at the time of this article, the giant alien robot movie has amassed $215 million as of 6/29, whereas Disney/Pixar’s Up has earned $252.4 million) and has become an audience favorite, Transformers 2 has also become the “most mistake-ridden movie of the year.”
According to Moviemistakes.com, this summer’s main event has a whooping 40 mistakes made during production. Ranging from Shia LaBeouf’s stage mark for his cemetary chat with Optimus (you can see it in the trailer) to continuity issues like missing socks and geography problems. Before you check out the goofs, please note that some of them contain spoilers.
Some of my favorites:
- When the Decepticons are reviving Megatron in the Laurentian Abyss, sunlight can be seen filtering down on them. The Laurentian Abyss is too deep for sunlight to penetrate.
- In the original Transformers, the final battle takes place in a fictional city known as Mission City, which according to Lennox is 22 miles away from the Hoover Dam, putting it close to Las Vegas. However, when Sam is in his dorm room, it’s stated that the battle was in LA.
- When Mikaela is talking to Sam on the phone after Sam had his “nervous breakdown”, when he is picking up the dropped papers, the people on the right coming down the stairs come down twice.
