Teen love: Dakota Fanning talks kiss with Kristen Stewart in next project
Kristen Stewart and Dakota fanning share a lesbian kiss in The Runaways
There seems to be something incredibly strange about filmmakers capturing a kiss between a pair of teenage girls, one of which is only 15-years-old.
Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart (did you know she’s in New Moon? It’s true!) are reportedly sharing a “steamy lesbian kiss” in their upcoming project The Runaways.
“Yes, it happens in The Runaways,” Fanning said. “It was passionate. We’re playing Joan Jett and Cherie Curie and they’re best friends in the film and became really close in real life. And that’s something that went down back in the ‘70s.
“We were so into the scene and into the script and the characters,” she added.
Fanning shared some screen time with Stewart in New Moon and played a young red-eyed member of the vampire coven, the Volturi. “I read all four Twilight books in one week. It’s such a phenomenon, and I wanted to be able to say that I was a part of it,” says Fanning.
The Runaways is a biopic of rock icon Joan Jett and is directed by Floria Sigismondi.
It’s due out sometime in 2010.
