Release alert: ‘Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition’ arrives in U.S. in March
Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will arrive on PS3 and Xbox 360 in March
Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in March. According to Capcom, the special edition package will include not only the original episode, but two bonus episodes, eight additional playable characters, new costumes and The Mercenaries’ Reunion, a new game mode.
For PS3, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will arrive on a single Blu-ray disc. For Xbox 360 owners, your version will include the original game on a DVD with a DLC token to obtain bonus content.
Most of the game’s features will be loaded as four separate DLC packs here in North America. Only two additional characters will be included in the download.
In Lost In Nightmare, the first new episode, Chris Redifeld and Jill Valentine investigate the basement of the Umbrella founder’s mansion and discover a “dark secret.” This will be released on 360 on 2/17 and PS3 on 2/18.
Details have not been released for the second episode there is no word if bonus content will be available for the PC version of the game.
Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be released in the United States on March 9th.
