Idris Elba joins the fantastic cast of ‘Thor’
Idris Elba joins Marvel’s ‘Thor’
Idris Elba was one of the few positives in the Beyonce thriller Obsessed, so his reported casting in the the upcoming Marvel epic, Thor, comes as great news.
Elba will be joining Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Jaimie Alexander, Colm Feore, (hold on, let me catch my breath…okay, I’m good) Samuel L. Jackson, Stellan Skarsgard, Stuart Townsend, Ray Stevenson and Tadanobu Asano. He’ll be playing Heimdall, the guardian of Asgard.
Thor will be directed by Kenneth Branagh with production to kick off in January.
The film will arrive in theaters on May 20, 2011.
