Dustin Hoffman balks at cameo in ‘Little Fockers’
Hoffman out in new ‘Meet the Parents’ follow-up?
Dustin Hoffman, the legend, the icon, is not a Focker.
If the rumors are true, Dustin Hoffman is reportedly out of the next entry in the Meet the Parents saga: Little Fockers.
Hoffman was given a mere cameo as Focker father Bernie. Cameos usually don’t sit well with Oscar winners so the 72-year-old balked and told producers to do the film without him. How will Little Fockers proceed? Just have Barbara Streisand who plays the mother Focker (we had to do it) return. Streisand is expected to have a larger role.
No official word from Hoffman’s handlers or Universal on the issue.
Little Fockers is due out on July 30, 2010.
The film will star Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Owen Wilson and Jessica Alba.
