Eva Mendes will not be in ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife’
Don’t expect to see hot stuff Eva Mendes killing zombies anytime soon. The 2 Fast 2 Furious star has dismissed reports that she has joined the cast of Resident Evil: Afterlife saying: “God, no! No, no, no! Never!”
The 35-year-old is reportedly becoming more selective in her film roles. Though when asked about her previous work in Ghost Rider, Mendes beamed with joy: “I think it was a great experience, and I was so proud of it. It was fun… but I think it’s done,” says Mendes. “But look, hey, if it’s Nicolas Cage again – I’ll do anything with him.”
In an interview with Fox, Mendes says she isn’t afraid to use her curves to her advantage.
“I don’t allow myself to be typecast, but when I have to turn up the heat and turn up the sexuality and I do an amazing Calvin Klein campaign it’s very conscious, that’s no accident. It’s very methodical on my part,” Mendes explained. “If I feel it’s appropriate to show some nudity in the scenes then I go for it. As much as I use my sexuality, I have never felt exploited. I feel like it’s on my terms and I have no problem with it.”
Mendes can be seen in Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans opposite Nicolas Cage. The film was just screened at the Denver Film Festival.
