Denied: Miley Cyrus will not star in movie adaptation of ‘Rock of Ages’
Disney pop tart Miley Cyrus and the ‘Rock of Ages’ rumor
Teen sensation Miley Cyrus tossed aside rumors regarding the 16-year-old signing on for a big-screen adaptation of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages.
Speculation was fueled on by pics of the singer backstage meeting with cast members early last week. A source close to Cyrus told GossipCop that she wasn’t doing it.
However, the former Disney star will star in the screen adaptation of Aprilynne Pike’s hit young adult novel, Wings.
Cyrus will play Laurel, a teen who discovers she is a fairy sent among humans to guard the gateway to Avalon. As if learning you’re a mythological creature isn’t enough, witness Laurel as she goes from being a sheltered/home-schooled girl to dealing with the complexities of attending a public high school.

I'm so sick of hearing about Miley Cyrus. She has no talent-she has a famous Daddy, that's all. But you guys do need to draw the line at some point. She definatly IS a bad infulence on little girls, but don't make such a big deal on if she's wearing a bad influence. Think about YOUR outfits when you were 17!!! Although her voice is absolutly NOTHING special. She actually kinda sucks. People only like her songs because their catchy.
No. I don't only like her songs because they're catchy. I like her songs because they're also meaningful and have good lyrics. People need to stop giving her such a hard time because she's just being herself! I bet if you were in the limelight like she is, you would make as many mistakes as she has. She cant sing or act, she is not especially pretty, and her only fans are tween girls. Her 15 minutes of fame are loooooong overdue, and once her tween fans grow up they will not care anymore and she will be on one of those "Where are they now?" shows in a few years. Celebrity is wasted on her, and she should be very grateful to the suits at Disney for getting her untalend butt where she is at today. She is a product of the Disney machine, and make no doubt about it, when they are throuhg with her, they will be done, for they have hundreds, if not thousands of girls waiting in the wings. I bet most of them have more talent and are better looking too.

Ya, I get that she's more famous than her dad was. Did you read my point about people giving her a break over her clothes?! Guess what… I used to have respect for her and liked her until those photos surfaced and my 8 year old sister got a taste of them. Don't tell me I won't be famous-I don't want to be. I just think that she needs to think her actions over before doing them, in order to gain more respect. She could be my idol too if she cleaned up her act!
