Aw snap: ‘New Moon’s’ Robert Pattinson calls Twilight fans “virus”
Twilight star calls craze “virus”
Twilight star Robert Pattinson really does like his fans. Honestly. Even though he compares the Twilight craze to a virus, we’re pretty sure he means the good kind of virus rather than the flesh-eating ones.
Pattinson, who plays sulky vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movie franchise, recently spoke at a fan party at London’s Battersea celebrating the upcoming release of New Moon.
“We went to Japan earlier on in the year. There wasn’t that much of a reaction – but last week when we went again, it suddenly exploded, the same as here,” says Pattinson. “I don’t know how, it just explodes so quickly. It takes seven months to take hold – it’s like a virus.”
Taylor Lautner, who plays the wolfy Jacob Black, chimed in: “I’m stunned – I knew it was going to be good, but this is amazing. The fans in London are surprising me.
“It’s amazing to know we have this support behind us. It makes us feel like we’re at home.”
The Twilight Saga: New Moon debuts on November 20th.

Food for thought: If Twilight fans are like a virus, what are Teen Witch fans?
