‘Up’ director not working on ‘Monsters Inc 2′
Pete Docter will not be helming sequel to Monsters Inc
Early this summer, Pixar announced that Up director Pete Docter will be working on a sequel to Monsters Inc…or so we thought. It turns out that the news was complete bullplop.
“I’m not working on it … I’m working on something else, but I cannot announce what it is,” Docter said.
2001’s Monster Inc was a mammoth hit for Disney Pixar and earned $525 million worldwide.
Docter has already begun work on his new secret project. “That one I just started. We finished Up, I took some time off, spent some time in Europe and Japan doing publicity over there, so I’ve only been on this for like a couple weeks.”
