Justin Timberlake Gets Restraining Order
Stalker Wanted Justin Timberlake to Rule the World With Her
It’s not uncommon to refer to celebrities as a type of royalty, and it can be admitted that they do have a certain influence over the non-celebrity population. But no one actually thinks they’re rulers…right?
Apparently not. On three separate occasions, Justin Timberlake’s house has been broken into by Karen McNeil, a 48-year-old woman who has been stalking the singer.
One of the times McNeil broke into the house, she left behind a note. The exact message hasn’t been released, but was described by court documents as being “bizarre” in nature. This isn’t surprising, since McNeil reportedly believes herself to be a god that Babylonian witches have chosen to cast their evil upon.
Like anyone would do in his situation, Timberlake requested a restraining order against McNeil. Timberlake didn’t show up to the court hearing, but gave his lawyer a written statement to present to the judge. McNeil, on the other hand, chose to represent herself.
As could be expected, Timberlake was granted the restraining order against McNeil. The woman is not to contact Timberlake in any way whatsoever, and must remain at least 100 yards from Timberlake and his vehicle for the next three years.
To make the case just a little bit weirder, Timberlake isn’t the first celebrity to have to get a restraining order against McNeil. Other unlucky recipients of McNeil’s attention include Axl Rose and the members of Metallica.
So why did McNeil choose to turn her efforts to Timberlake? Was it just because of the restraining orders against her by other celebrities that she needed a new object of obsession?
Nope. According to court documents, McNeil believes it is her fate to rule the world, and her goal was to marry Timberlake and have him as her co-ruler over the masses.
