Sandra Bullock on ‘The Proposal’s’ popularity: ‘Nudity had to do with it’
What made the ‘The Propposal’ a hit?
If you were to ask me why I thought the Sandra Bullock-Ryan Reynolds romantic comedy, The Proposal, was a success, I would tell you that it was because of the film’s comedic writing and fabulous cast chemistry. If you ask Bullock herself, she may tell you something different.
“We had all the right people, the right elements in the right place” Bullock said. “But to be honest I think nudity had a great deal to do with it. People liked it.”
The quote comes from British online tabloid STV so we can’t tell if a) she really said it b) it was completely tongue-in-cheek or c) it was taken out of context.
The Proposal made $315 million worldwide when it was released earlier this year.
