Taylor Swift Gets Back at Kanye–Through Song!
Pop-country singer and songwriter Taylor Swift is not one to shy away from telling you what she thinks. And if you’re a part of her life? Be ready to hear your name in a song.
Swift has made a name for herself by writing songs drawing on experiences from her own almost-20 years of life, and her newest song, “Musical Monologue (lalala)” is no exception to this.
While hosting the November 7th episode of Saturday Night Live, Swift didn’t go with a typical monologue, but instead did her monologue in musical form, busting out only a guitar to accompany her as she sang her way through the show’s opening.
Taking the opportunity to use the monologue to address some of the most talked about aspects of her life, Swift’s song called out Joe Jonas, who dumped her via a phone call, coyly alluded to her rumored relationship with Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, and, of course, fired back at Kanye West about the debacle that her VMA acceptance speech was turned into.
Swift topped it all off by presenting the show saying, “We’ve got a great show for you tonight– Kanye is not here!”
