Fear not Twilight fans: Robert Pattinson to feature “prominently” in ‘New Moon’
Jackson Rathbone talks Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen in ‘New Moon’
For those wondering if Robert Pattinson will have a lot of screen time in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Jackson Rathbone wants to ease your minds…kind of.
“I only shot for three weeks, and out of those three weeks that I was [in Vancouver] I think I actually filmed four days. So, I mean, I’m not so much in New Moon,” Rathbone said. The 24-year-old plays Jasper Hale in the film.
“It’s one of those things where we want to follow as closely to the books as possible. In New Moon, you don’t see that much of the Cullens. You really don’t. So there’s not too much of us in there.”
Even though the Cullen family doesn’t have too much screen time (sorry Ashley Greene fans), Edward Cullen (Pattinson) features “prominently.”
“I’ve heard people are concerned about Edward and the Cullens not being in the film, but Edward is very prominent in the film, especially in Bella’s mind,” Rathbone went on to say. “The way that [director] Chris Weitz worked it out is beautiful, and I think that people are going to love it.”
New Moon hits U.S. theaters on November 20th.
