Best Fantasy Movie goes to ‘Twilight’ at Scream Awards
Kristen Stewart plays ball with Taylor Lautner on the set of ‘New Moon’
It’s good to be Kristen Stewart. The Twilight star has graced the cover of Seventeen, posed for Interview magazine and Twilight scored the coveted Best Fantasy Movie award during the 2009 Scream Awards held this past weekend on Spike TV.
“I’m used to doing really tiny movies,” Stewart said. “But then it turned into a big deal. I mean, I know how obsessed the fans are – they love it, but we love it just as much!”
The 19-year-old phenom is busy working on two productions. In The Runaways, Stewart will be playing rock legend Joan Jett while handling duties on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Her latest, The Twilight Saga: New Moon will open in U.S. theaters on November 20th.
During down time on set of New Moon, 17-year-old Taylor Lautner likes to play football with his slightly older cast-mate. “Surprisingly she has a really good arch. she is very accurate,” Lautner says surprised. “I always carry a football around with me and I would play catch with the guys and then Kristen said she wanted to play. I threw the ball to her and she became my buddy.”
Eclipse arrives in theaters June 30, 2010 while The Runaways debuts sometime that same year.
