Despite upcoming superhero roles, Ryan Reynolds still enjoys romantic-comedies

Ryan Reynolds to star in new cross-dressing comedy

rl_ryanrJust because Ryan Reynolds is playing tough guys in two upcoming superhero films, doesn’t mean his days as a romantic lead are over.

Last seen in the rom-com The Proposal opposite Sandra Bullock, Reynolds will reportedly play a jilted lover who dresses up like a chick to get close to his ex. Nothing says “You can trust me” like misleading your former lover to try and get her back.

Working Title has acquired the untitled project from Allan Loeb (21, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps) and was written with Reynolds in mind.

Reynolds is currently working on Green Lantern, a film based on the famed DC comics character. He will also play the deadly “merc with a mouth” assassin Deadpool in a spin-off from X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
