Has Quentin Tarantino officially announced Kill Bill Vol. 3 or has the acclaimed director pulled some shennigans?
The beloved auteur announced that a third Kill Bill movie may hit theaters in 2014.
While on the Italian talk show Parla con Me, the Tarantino admitted that he and Kill Bill star Uma Thurman “needed a ten-year break before making another installment in the revenge saga.”
“The Bride will fight again,” he said. “I have to wait a couple of years because I want ten years to pass from the second one to the third one. For two reasons – one, I think me and Uma need a ten-year break because the first one was so hard. Second, I love the character. I just really, really love her.
“I think she deserves ten years of peace! Ten years of no fighting and ten years with her child BB. I put her through a lot and I want her to have a nice peaceful life for ten years! After that, something will happen that makes her fight again.”
Kill Bill was broken up into two parts and was released in 2003 and 2004. The film stars Thurman as the vengeful Bride as she seeks revenge on her old boss Bill, played by the recently deceased Kung Fu star David Carradine.
Tarantino has been busy running around talking about his latest and most profitable film ever, Inglourious Basterds.
