Production begins for ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife’

Milla Jovovich’s new ‘Resident Evil’ begins

k

Production on Resident Evil: Afterlife has officially kicked off in Toronto according to Screen Gems and Constantin Film.

The fourth chapter in the hit franchise stars Milla Jovovich as the ace zombie killer Alice. Also on board is Ali Larter as Resident Evil: Extinction’s Claire Redfield and Prison Break star Wentworth Miller.

Paul W. S. Anderson is back as writer, director, Milla stoinker and producer. Anderson has been a part of the franchise since its humble beginning in 2002 with Resident Evil.

The plot for the next chapter in the Resident Evil series remains under wraps but the story is expected to take place in Tokyo and Alaska (Toronto makes a fine substitute for the distant/expensive Palin home). The story is expected to continue Alice’s fight against the evil Umbrella Corp with a small army of her clones.

Afterlife will arrive in theatres in fall 2010.
