Michael Sheen on role in ‘New Moon’: “Very gentle…psychopathic killer”
Michael Sheen, who has made an interesting turn into vampire movies since Frost/Nixon, recently commented on his The Twilight Saga: New Moon co-star Dakota Fanning who plays the Volturi, Jane.
“She’s fantastic. She’s scary as hell, but she looks so sweet. She’s got a great character there. People are really going to love her,” said the Welsh born 40-year-old who successfully avoided calling her a “precocious twit,” or “prat.”
Sheen added that his current role as the Volturi leader Aro in the latest entry in the Twilight franchise is “very calming on the surface, very gentle and soft on the surface. But beneath, he is a psychopathic killer.”
“He’s a great character, and I had a great time doing it”.
Will Aro make an appearance in Eclipse, the third entry in the series? “He doesn’t appear in Eclipse. He appears again in Breaking Dawn… Who knows? Nothing has been spoken about yet,” Sheen said.
Dakota Fanning is currently busy filmingĀ Eclipse.
