Don’t look for Edward Norton reprising his role as Bruce Banner in the highly-anticipated Iron Man 2.

In an interview with MTV, The Incredible Hulk star debunked the fury of rumors that have been spreading since the debut of the original Iron Man. “I heard that. I don’t know where that’s coming from,” he said. “I am not in Iron Man 2 to my knowledge.”

Norton has also been coy on his future with other Marvel properties. Mr. Speculation has been saying that Norton will not be in the upcoming Avengers film nor in a sequel to The Incredible Hulk. Is Norton out of the comic book business?

Iron Man 2 opens everywhere on May 7th while The Avengers is due in 2012.

    This is getting ridiculous. I can't believe anyone at this point. I know it's still 3 years away and they barely have a coherent storyline yet, but would it kill them to give us a definitive on Bruce Banner appearing in The Avengers so we can legitimately wonder if it's going to be Norton or not?
