Here’s your first look at Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan on the set of The Karate Kid remake, The Kung Fu Kid. In the pictures we can see Jackie Chan tormenting young Jaden with a large pole. This is presumably a tactic to instill courage in the lad or is very, very cruel. I like to think it’s the latter.
Jaden can also be seen in a horse stance performing some moves on the cool, cool Chinese air as Chan continues to smash Smith with his weapons. One day, the student will become the master so Chan better watch out. In the meantime, Chan will continue to look like Stallone and beat up kids.
Production on The Kung Fu Kid began mid-summer with filming currently going in Beijing. The film is due out June 11, 2010.
Wow, the poster of this article will do anything to get a few readers. You can clearly see in the picture that he is not "tormenting" his young student. Rather, using the poles to control the boys martial arts movements. controlling him like a puppet. Get your facts straight before you post garbage like this.

I agree 100% with Billiam. You can clearly see this in the pictures. Erik Buckman is clearly a stupid person (just looking at his picture says a lot). Anyway back to the point. He also states that Jaden is being tormented while doing a horse stance. Where? Does this fat man have even a vague idea about martial arts? A horse stance in done in squatting position, so where is this "stance"?
Oh \”fearlesstom,\” it's quite the opposite. The fat man knows plenty about martial arts. Those two sticks with the chain? A kelso. The big stick? A gepper.
I'm not sure where you learned your martial arts, \”fearlesstom,\” but the stance Jaden has in the picture IS a horse stance. The variation used is from the Kelso region which is the same area where the two-stick-chainy-thing comes from.
