Will Bruce Campbell enter ‘Spider-Man 4′ as a villain?
Bruce Campbell has expanded role in next Spider-Man
While at the Los Angeles premier of the animated 3D feature Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Sam Raimi pal and Evil Dead man Bruce Campbell, recently told Access Hollywood that production on Spider-Man 4 will kick-off in January. The actor also noted that Raimi has informed the cult star that he will have a much larger role than the cameos he has had in the last three installments.
Rampant fan speculation has been all over the map regarding who the two new villains will be in fourth chapter. Though Campbell didn’t indicate what his major role would be, many believe that he may play Mysterio, the domed master of illusion. Others want the 58-year-old to play Craven.
Spider-Man 4 will star Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst with Sam Raimi returning to the director’s chair. The script was written by David Lindsay-Abaire (Inkheart) with a rewrite from Gary Ross (Seabiscuit).
Spidey will be back on May 6, 2011.
