Warner Bros., alongside Legendary Pictures, will make a follow-up to the remake of Clash of the Titans a major “priority.” With production to kick off in January, Battle: Los Angeles director Jonathan Liebesman is rumored to be at the top of the list of possible directors for Clash of the Titans 2.
Clash of the Titans made a whopping $486.8 million off of a $125 million budget. But getting there wasn’t without controversy. After the massive success of James Cameron’s Avatar, Warner Bros. decided to give the film a 3D overhaul with suck-tastic affects.
Clash of the Titans 2 will be produced for 3D so the need to take off your 3D glasses during fight scenes may be at a minimum.
Clash of the Titans star Sam Worthington will begin work on Avatar 2 in the second half of 2011 so Warner will be looking to lock him into a contract for Clash 2 sooner rather than later.
