If anybody can save Hispanics in Arizona, it’s Colombian singer/dancer/hot stuff Shakira.
According to AZ Central, the hip shaker will meet with the mayor of Phoenix and state government officials to discuss the awful legislation that was passed earlier this month.
“Shakira supports the mayor and likes his message about the bill,” said Gordon Chief of Staff Debra Stark, who has been arranging the visit.
Arizona cops have been given the authority to question any individual that they suspect may be in the country illegally.
The law, hated by many — loved by teabaggers, is called the toughest immigration legislation in the United States. It makes it a crime to be in the state without legal proof of residency. One can be pulled over for driving while Mexican.
Shakira, not missing a good photo opp, will also meet with the families and cute kids affected by the law.
